Looks as if there are some new lawn and garden tractors being made under the Bolens name by MTD. I'm sure they will never make anything anywhere near as great as the old Bolens tractors, but it's nice to see the name again. It'd be nice if the company would see a demand for tractors built as heavy duty as the old ones and started making them again, but I doubt that will happen. I bet my Bolens HT23 could pull three of the new ones backwards if they were hooked back to back. Looks like they will be selling at places like Lowes and Tractor Supply Company.

What do you guys think? Good thing? Bad thing?

I just purchased an old Bolens G14 with shaft drive mower. The problem is that the mower was seperated and I don't have a clue how to hook it up. I had a similar one about 20 years ago but my memory is not what it used to be. Soooo if anyone can help me I would be forever grateful. Thanks

as an owner of a '72 husky, as far as the MTD subject goes, the same can be said for the Cub Cadets of the world. At one time IH was hard to beat, now they are nothing like they used to be.

true about the Bolens not being what it was, but don't be ignorant to the new Cubs. They are the best thing out there today.. not your typical MTD if you take a look. Bolens will never really be "back" because they are not MTD's premium line. Cub Cadet is the only brand that holds that distinction. Bolens is just another brand name to sell to the mass merchant accounts.

MTD is at least still supporting the old troybilt units partwise, Bolens has been dropped altogether
The only similarity with the "new" Bolens units
with the old ones will be in name only, as the new
ones will just merely be MTDs. Fish

I have a 76 Bolens w/a 12 hp engine, I think it is a tecumseh engine, That little tractor can push snow and that gear drive is real nice. I doubt that the new ones will have the rugged gear drives. Oh well.
