Are there any companies making gas powered sweepers. I have an agri-fab 42" ground driven that works O.K. but its hard to manouver and keep the right speed so it picks up but doesn't throw the grass over the basket.

Try westward implements in canada or north dakota, mine has a 3.5 hp briggs and a 25 cu enclosed drum and works fantastic.

Why not check into a Snapper mower with a Hi-Vac deck? It will out do any sweeper. I've used one for more than it was designed for and it is still running.

Try Sweepster, Link these little units are impressive and easy to maneuver. They have bigger units also that attach to different kinds of equipment. They even make a sweeper for airport runways, it used to be 20 feet across and would even dry off the runway. It was mounted to an Oshkosh 4-wheel drive truck and had a Cat 6 cylinder engine mounted on the back for powering the hydraulics for operating the broom and blower. That blower would knock you feet out from under you at fifty feet. Quite an impressive unit to say the least.
