Wondering if there is any collector interest or value in a model 32 Bolens estate keeper.... kind of neat how it was designed,, articulating and all. If anyone would comment on this unit it would satisfy my curiosity..
Thanks

Hello again, I picked up another EK 10 at auction today. Paid more than I wanted to for the machine but it has some parts I need. Went to push the machine on the trailer and it wouldn't roll. Maybe the trans is shot! Had to pick it up with a loader to get on the trailer. Hopefully out of the 2 machines I can make 1 running, cutting machine. Only time will tell. They also had a Bolen Lawn Keeper at the sale. It went for $70.00, which I thought was a little too much for another project. Happy Mowin' Phil

the reason you couldn't push it. It was locked in gear. There is a hub release on the left rear wheel that you have to turn to disengage the transmission. It looks like a U bolt turn it left or right. You may have to rock the tractor back and forth a little to get it to turn. If the transhub is engaged you cannot push the mower. Also MAKE SURE thast the gear case is full of gearlube. The main gear in that mower is a brass gear with an aluminum shear pin. I have had that mower for the past 35 years. I recently refited it with a briggs 10 HP., but misplaced the front shaft. Do you have a spare you want to sell?

Phil// my experience with those machines is that the engine needs to turn the transmission or they wont roll.[spent enough time trying
good luck with your projects.

Hello, I have a Bolens EK 10. It has a Wisconsin TRA 10D engine. I going to try and bring the machine back to life soon. I need another machine for parts, though. I think they are very different and can't wait to get it moving under power. Phil
