Is it best to remove the rear fenders and tank to remove the trans? Thank you for any help. Earl

as far as i know it's not possible to remove the transaxle without taking off the fenders and the gas tank. if it is your best bet is to take them off any way if they're not in the way for removing the transaxle they will be when you install it.

Earl i think u will have no choice but to remove the fender. It is very easy to though. Remove all your knobs, two bolts up front, and 2 nuts at the rear. It will be a tricky to get it past the gear lever but be patient, it will clear it.I think u will have to loosen the brakets that your fuel tank sits between in order to get that tranny out.
