I have the same tractor as you(only 1 year newer)
I don't know about you but I use mine for every-
thing! Plowing,discing,hauling, you name it!
It's a real workhorse and I'd never sell it!
As for collectors item, I doubt it, Sears made quite a few of these through the years. I might
be interested in buying yours if the price was
resonable. E-mail me.

:I have an orange and white Sears Suburban 12hp tractor which I purchased about 5 years ago which came with a snow plow, snow thrower and 42" mower deck as well as a box ofr "parts." I use it for everything too & would love to get a chipper attachment for it. The lady I bought it from claimed it was 25 years old when she sold it to me for $200.00. - I think it was a steal but

I have a Sears 12hp surburban tractor without manual. Do you know, what kind of oil goes into the transmission/gearbox/rear? Also might you have any information about the 3 point hitch?

I restored a GT-14 last year. Was amazed to see how well they were built. They are in every way as good a tractor as you can buy. Parts are still readily available. In fact this is the same basic tractor that they still build as a "Grand Sierra". The GT16 should have a front, mid and rear hydo lift. A front, mid and rear PTO. The shaft drive deck will fit both a new or old tractor as should the tiller. The Grand Sierra has a different grill and hood, power steering and a larger motor and sells for $6000 (without deck).
