that no one can answer my previous question that's now off the page? I asked what a Really nice well kept GT2000 hydro (20hp Kohler powered) was worth with a 42" front blower, belly mowing deck, and tire chains. An old gentleman has it and has offered to sell it to me. It has always been kept indoors, and starts and runs as good as it looks. It has about 580 hrs on it, and i put several of those on my self this last winter blowing his drive way out for him. Come on guys, give me some idea's????? Thanks, Robert

Thanks guys, I'm still not sure what i'll offer him. I have bought a few other things from him, and he's an honest gentleman, but he wants me to make an offer. He's not pushing me, so i guess i'll think about it some more. Thanks again, Robert

I'm not very familiar with that tractor, but I own four Bolens tractors myself. My last purchase was an early 80's Bolens HT-23 that I bought before winter. It came with a 54" deck, 54" power angle blade, 33" tiller, front and rear wheel weights, freshly rebuilt Kohler 23hp engine, power steering, hi-lo range hydro. I paid $1700 and drove 3 hours to get it. The tractor is in excellent condition and although I can't go out and buy parts as easy for it as a John Deere, between eBay and other internet resources, I am confident that I will be able to get any parts that I can't make myself fairly easy. I also have a QT-16 that gets used all year round - it also has a deck, blade, and tiller. It has been used nearly everyday since it was purchased new in 1974 and it is still going strong with no real major fixes. I think that if you know the history of the tractor and know that it has been taken care of, it will serve you well for years to come. Good luck!

I'm not a Bolens guy myself so I can't give you any ideas, but if you go to the Bolens group on Yahoo there are plenty of guys there that will help you.I know that is a good machine and parts are not real hard to get yet.

Here's an idea. Bolens is out of business. Garden-Way (Troy-Bilt) bought them and then went Chapter 7. MTD bought some of the Garden-Way assets and now owns the Bolens brand name.

Unless I had a reliable source of parts for it, I wouldn't take it for free.

Does the guy have a price on the machine now. A price he wants for it. What year is it? If it is 20 years old or so then I would say $500 maybe? dont know.
