So here's the deal: I'm in Ag Mechanics class and need to find the specifications for a Craftsman 917 Series push mower. I've been searching all over the internet but have come up with nothing. If someone could please help out, that'd be great. I need to know the

Oil Capacity (fl oz)
Armature air gap (in)
Flywheel nut (ft lbs)
Cylinder head (in lbs)
Connecting Rod (in lbs)
Crankcase cover (in lbs)
Intake (in)
Exhaust (in)
Standard Cylinder bore (in)
Stroke (in)
Standard Crankpin Journal (in)
Spark plug gap (in)

Thanks again for any help!

Your Craftsman is Actually an American Yard Product Mower. If you e-mail me at ltserr@valleytel.net with the complete model and serial number I can look up the dimensions for you. I am assuming at this time that the unit has a Tecumseh engine on it. If you can find the numbers on the motor it would be a great deal easier.

Papa --

I have the same machine as you do -- let me know what kind of info you're looking for and I'll try and help. Tried to send you email but didn't work.

Mike
