Did that use a Peerless transaxle? If so, find out the model #. A number of other tractors probably used the same unit, which should make it easier to find. If it's a "Sears exclusive", guess I haven't helped much!

Was this tractor manufactured by Bush Hog for Sears ?.

I believe that Bush Hog manufactured a number of Sears tractors in the 60's. One quick way to tell - is the tractor direct drive - Not Belt Drive? then it just might be.

If it is good luck in finding parts. I believe a division of Bush Hog made all the parts. Bush Hog stopped manufacturing lawn tractors in the 70's (Not quite sure of the date). They then sold whatever remaining parts they could at the
time and scrapped the remaining. The person who purchased the parts got out of the business 4 or 5 years ago just when the engine on
my Bush Hog broke down. Also I'm told that the axles were not hardened and
had a tendency to break Although I never broke one.

Hope this helps

I might have an engine that would work. It's a two cylinder Wisconsin out of a Bolens with an
automotive type bellhousing. Newark, Ohio 740 366 5477
