Ok, I realize that this tractor is a relic ha, ha, however I have noticed that I am getting less and less speed in both forward and reverse on my 147 cub. Is this any type of adjustment that is possible to correct this problem?

the only thing i can can think of is the relife valve or a bad seal. email me at derfuhrer8@yahoo.com if you have any more questions
ps:if it's niether of these you could have a bad vain in the hydro motor

Here you go. Check out Number 12 on the list if the oil and filter with a good cleaning of the tranny inside doesn't help.

Doug, there is a trunion under the fender that moves back and forth for your direction. There is a spring between the two pieces that wears the trunion that you take apart and weld up and refile it into shape. Somewhere on the cub website a gentleman shows how to do it and it is very easy.

try changing the oil and filter, can make a big difference (pay a little extra and use IH hytran like the book says). My current tractor i picked up for nothing cause it was made in 76 and from the looks had never had the tranny oil and filter changes. the owner thought the hydro was shot. oil anf filter and it runs like new.

Hey, that relic probably has 30 more years left in it. Go to this Cub site and ask away.
