I have a Dynamark 11/36 (model 5188-5101 rear discharge)My book gives spindle/quill ass'y part# 51450.

I also need assistance with proper routing of deck lift cable. Cannot get enough adjustment to properly level the deck. (what a mickey mouse set up this is!) I have a copy of the original owners manual however it does not clearly show how this cable attaches to the front lift support bracket. (what it goes over? under? thru?... etc) Not sure if side discharge models use the same mechanism, it's all mounted on the deck not the chassis. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My 13 year old neighbor just bought an old Dynamark 1136 with mower deck. It has the same mower deck problem you inquired about in 2004. It is unclear how the cable that lifts the front of the mower deck should be routed. It is clearly wrong as the front of the deck went down as the rear of the deck was raised. I don't know if something is missing, or if it was just incorrectly set up. I did manage to change things around so the front now lifts when the deck lever is raised, but it cannot be raised to the higher notches. The way I routed it to get the front to raise when the deck lever is raised seems to be a pretty poor mechanism. I cannot believe this is the proper way to set it up. Can you help? Do you have a manual that you could fax or e-mail me a page of that shows how it should be set up?

Thank you.
