When i push clutch pedal down and try to put in any gear all it does is scrape gears. If I start in gear and push clutch pedal down it won't stop. What could be wrong. Would like to know what to look for.

Sounds like the disc is stuck to the pressure plates , the throw out bearing is bad or the little clutch teasing spring is broken. When the teasing spring breaks, it will bind the pressure plate forward and not let the clutch release. Try oiling up that area and sometimes it will start working again.

Sounds like clutch linkage is broke or out of adj. The tension on the belt is not releasing and will cause both prob. you indicated. Maybe the rod from the clutch pedal to the idler pulley fell off. Good luck

Could be belts. I think I have one belt that drives the mower deck and I a clutch disc and a shaft for the transmission.

No belts on your 108. Chances are your clutch discs are stuck to clutch plate. There should be a cover in back of engine you'll have to remove to view clutch. After you remove it push down clutch pedal and lock it down. Check to see if discs are loose from metal plate in between them - if not GENTLY pry them a liitle with a screwdriver. They should break free pretty easy - if not or if they are already free you should probably take it a repair shop to be checked out. Be very careful prying on clutch plates are you can break them or bend plate and cause an expensive fix. They should come loose easily and without force. Oh yeah, make sure tractor is off before doing this!!
