Anybody know the fuel mixture for the 2 cycle model...? We found one the other day, picked it up as a novelty. (Curbside Treasure) It spins freely, appears to have compression and spark, tried gas mixed for the weed wacker, after many tries, it started...!!!Shut it down to go tell the Mrs, (didn't want it to "fly away" now did I), got back and it wouldn't start again...???

You wanted a thick growth of grass. If you came to a bare spot you had a mini-dust storm.

The original gas powered(2strokes) were so-so for trimmimg etc,not much for large areas as cut was uneven.Had one for awhile(more as a toy than for real work).Best use I ever saw was a feller with a very steep lake front lawn.He put a 2point harness on one and mowed the slope from the top with a rope leading to mower, just walked back an forth up top and took in rope to move mower up and down slope.

My father-in-law received one as a trade years ago. He only used it a few times; said it works fine as long as you have an absolutely flat lawn. Any bumps or even slight hills and it would just start bouncing off the ground.

I have only ever used one once, and I thought it was rubbish. A guy I know who ran a mower repair shop (he has now retired ) cursed them. My sister had a two-stroke and it was a bugger to start. As for those iddy - biddy plasticy electric flymos I often see one or two left out for "The bin man" ( you can tell I am English can't you? ) on garbage collection day!
