Can anyone clarify the procedure in adjusting the clutch on this compact tractor. I have replaced the friction disc and put the unit back together with 3 shims under the clutch fork bearing. I don't know how to get the corect pressure to allow engagement/disengagement by the side mounted lever.

Gary, the bearing housings have to be installed a certain direction to get the "squeeze" needed for clutch engagement. I've got a manual for the Case, it it's like my 222... Send your email address and I'll see if I can get that scanned.

I just acquired a Case 220 yesterday. Without going into detail, The mower won't engage because the clutch assembly seems to be to loose. I think that the info you have may help me diagnos and repair the problem. I would appreciate it very much if I could obtain it. Thanks

Im not sure if the bearings where already fried , or I fried them from incorrect assembly,...now I know I need the bearings if anyone could point me in the right direction,....Thank You!
