The only way I can start my mower is to pour gas directly into the carb. It will run a few seconds and shut off. I have traced my gas flow all the way from the tank to the carb bowl that houses the float, it is full of gas and lets gas flow when I let the float stay down. It seems what ever pumps gas isn't pumping. Is this a diaphram
problem or what should I do next.

Thanks

Hello--- I know this is a year later...I am having the same problem with my tractor. I was wondering what your final resolution was?
Thank-you

REMOVE CARBURETOR,CHECK MAIN NOZZLE FOR BLOCKAGE,YOU CAN USE SMALL WIRE TO CLEAN BUT DON'T ENLARGE NOZZLE,WIRE FROM WIREBRUSH OR SMALL TORCH TIP CLEANER SHOULD DO THEN CLEAN ALL PASSAGES WITH COMPRESSED AIR OR CARB CLEANER,REASSEMBLE AND TRY,IF MAIN JET IS ADJUSTABLE TURN IN TIL IT JUST SEATS THEN BACK OUT 2-1/2 TURNS THIS SHOULD LET ENGINE START , THEN YOU CAN ADJUST FUEL MIXTURE... HOPE THIS HELPS
