It was a nice day, I wanted to cut the grass. I hopped on my big 50" MTD and headed out. It seems mother nature had pushed a surprise out of the earth, and I found it the hard way. 2 of the 3 blades were pretzeled and the centre spindle blown up. I put that away and got out my trusty old Case 130. It's a 44" . The Case made it about 100' when a twig the size of a pencil got up in the deck and destroyed the belt. Back to the shed for the old silver bullet 11-38 Craftsman. Got to the other end of the place and it seems mother nature had pushed out an old plow share that had been buried for years. 2 more pretzeled blades and when I tried to shut it off, the throttle was stuck open. What a day. Everything is fixed now. Maybe I'll use the bush hog next time.

iwas trim mowing with my riding mower and drove near a walmart sack that had a hachet in that i had never put away in its proper place,(way to busy to pick itup )well the mower sucked the sack into the blades and destroyed them plus the blade spindles cost me 2 spindles and 2 blades plus 30 mile trip to dealer for these parts at a cost of 100.00 dollars and 4 hours for me replace them i noticed it have been cheaper and easier if i would have pick up sack of tools and put them away first

A few years back, at Hoenfels traing area Germany we were manuvering with our M1A1 tanks. It was after the Gulf War and during the draw down. there was little money for repair. The tracks on my tank were worn out to the point that they would come off making small turns on level ground. My crew and I put the tracks back on the tank 6 times in one day. As a final for the day we refueled on a road and while ground guiding the tank to the fuel truck we threw another trank.

Working as a pizza delivery driver about 10 years ago. One night we had freezing rain. It wasn't heavy but very slippery. You could drive but it was tricky. A co-worker who always pushed his car hard went too fast in a turn with his fairly new Mazda 323 and went into the curb and severly bent one of the front rims and had to have it towed. The night was not over and his home was not far away. He used his dads older front drive car to deliver more pizzas. Same exact thing happened again. He was so frustrated he couldn't believe it. I told him he shouldn't have any more bad luck for at least 14 years.
