Our neighbor bought a Cunningham mower probably in the late 40's after WW2. They used it to mow weeds along fences on the farm. It was a predecessor to the rotary weed mowers that came later. I think it was self propelled but was built narrow and would tip easily. It took a good man to run as it tipped easily and would cut the bottom strands of woven wire fence in the sickle. I think it had kind of a cam gear that turned on the wheel to propel it.
