The engine is free and has good compression. But no spark. All of the electrical goodies are behind the flywheel. How does the flywheel come off? I have had no luck in finding a parts/ service manual and I don't want to mess up anything. It appears to be pressed onto the crank shaft.
Thanks you

Roy

Roy somewhere on the flywheel shroud there are #s probably stamped in. It may take a wire brush to clean it up enough (old paint/rust) to see them. Whit out knowing which brand and modle/spec # of the engine you will have a hard time getting the correct parts for the engine.

I'll pull those numbers this evening. They are on the outside of the flywheel with a name of another company from, I believe, Maine.
Thanks again for your help.
Roy

The serial number is- N512893
I don't know what kind of engine it is. There's no markings or stamps anywhere on the engine.

The crank has a tapered shaft. It came off with a little persuasion and some sweet talking. The points and condenser looked clean and good, but the coil looked real sad. A bunch of tar leaked out of the coil and into the flywheel's innerds. I think if I replace the coil I will have some good old spark and she shoule run.
Anyone know of a match for the coil that would work on this model?
