I just bought a john deere 110 for my 6 year old to work on. Is there any way to tell what year it is? I have to find an engine for it (10 hp kohler), is there much difference in these engines from model year to year? Someone cut the ignition switch out of it, where could i get a copy of the wiring diagram to wire in a new switch? Thank you in advance for any help.

What is the serial number, fenders separate from the frame or is the platform/fenders one piece? Hydraulic options? 1-800-522-7448 for the manual. Mother Deere is very good stocking parts for old equipment.

The serial number is 268359m. The fenders are all one pice with the platform.

Serial # 268,359 makes it a 1973 model.

There are a couple of places that I use all the time for Deere equipment. The first one to find out what year is www.weekendfreedommachines.org. Lots of useful information on that site. For the wiring diagram, you can go to JohnDeere.com and go through the links to look at every part on your model and even get part numbers and call them or whoever for the parts you need. JacksSmallEngines.com has a John Deere parts look up that will give you an idea what it would cost from a non dealer. When you go to JohnDeere.com click on the residential block, the Parts-Look Up/Order Parts, then John Deere Parts Catalog. From there you can do a model search or equipment and some other types of searches. Good luck!
