I have 2 questions concerning my Bolens 1225 tractor. When I start it with the transaxle in park,it still tries to creep in reverse.Any ideas on what to look for?Maybe linkage adjustment? Also,I have a 36 in.snow blower on the front. When I raise it with the hydraulic lift,it only goes up about an inch and the mounting brackets are up against the front axle. How come? Thanks.

I need the front axle carriage. It is a cast iron part. I am willing to buy old unit complete from a 1220 or 1225.
1970 model

On your creeping problem - sounds like your pedal is returning a little too far when coming back. As far as the "parking brake" ; all it is is a "v" shape cast piece which slides into one of the teeth on your ring gear inside trans. These get broken off when people forget to disengage before driving off as they are soft material so they break instead of ring gear. Sounds like yours is broken. On the snowblower not sure- what is hitting and where on axle. If you have a way to email me some pictures I'll try to help. I do know that it helps on these to put a bolt in end of lift bracket notch to get some more lift.

Thanks for the info,JLG.If you e-mail me your e-mail address,I'll send a photo of the tractor to show you where the mounting brackets hit the front axle.
