Anyone out there ever try to widen a snow blower with another one just like it. The first stage is what I'm talking about. I have several 2 stage walk behind snow blowers sitting around and want to put a snow blower on the front of my Toro 120 groundsmaster. I have looked for a used 44" 2 stage snow blower attachment but don't have the money they are going for. Boyd.

I would say as long as the fan is large, say 14" in dia,go for it.I have not widened a shell but did widen a walk behind diff to fit a 44" shell.Had to make a new axel, need a lathe & mill but its simple stuff.I also welded 2 sets of augers to fit the 44" shell.I used a velosity joint out of a wrecked vw for the drive shaft that allows a piviot point to lift the blower.2yrs and working great.
