I bought a toro lawn tractor and the carburetor was disassembled and soaking. I picked up a carb kit at the parts store it didn't have instructions or float height adjustment. It just had springs, gaskets and o-rings. Does anyone know if I can find this online or maybe someone has a old kit with the instructions could e-mail it to me. It's a old 16 briggs twin cylinder 1981 model if that helps. plv32@hotmail.com

Turn the carb over with the float and needle valve assembled. Set the float so its level, or parallel with the carb surface.

Float, and other carb assembly instructions can be found in the repair manual for your model series engine.

Hi Phil

Also had a 16 briggs twin, also no instructions in the kit. Assemble float in carb (upper body) turn upside down so the float closes the incoming gas valve . If the float
bottom is parallel with the carb body, this should get you very close. Sold mine to my brother inlaw and he ran it 4 years that way
until his kid ran it out of oil...Oh well
Hope this helps
