Glad to know a 500 watt inverter will pull the tools you mentioned. Have wanted to do what you are doing-have some aux. power source. Oh BTW thanks for a lot of good info on the different discussion forums. Takes a good man to take the bashing you did a few days ago and still keep his cool. Never did quite figure out what brought it all on (maybe cabin fever). A lot of those guys have gone thru a long hard winter. Jack

Yeah, I think they are just jealous that they didn't move out of the snow country 24 years ago like I did!! (almost a native now!).

I was skeptical about these "cheap" invertors from the price clubs. MY RV suppliers are still selling invertors at prices like $200 (to me) for a 650 or 850 watt unit. I have several locals who use them to run oxygen concentrators and other medical equipment in their vehicles and medicare doesn't buy them I guess. Between my and one of the customers "in field testing" these cheap ones do the job. And the 1000 watt for $80 or so makes them throwaways if need be. It also makes it so you can carry a backup unit and STILL be money ahead.

Russel-you mentioned in a previous post about a self contained hydraulic unit that could be run off of an inverter. Would the size lend itself to garden tractor size? Where could I find some info on these units? Really had not heard of them-sounds like it could have a lot of possibilities. Thanks for any info-Jack
