Do any of you John Deere guys know if the 5 speed manual tranny out of a 111 will work in a 116 John Deere with the manual 5 speed tranny? A friend of mine shelled out his 116 tranny and I know where I can get a 111 cheap for parts. I would like to help out my friend if possible. Thanks for any help!

Mike,
How much of the 111 is there? What condition?
I own one and could use some parts. I haven't seen any other ones than mine
Thanks
David

David, The 111 is complete but has no deck or attachments. It is the early sytle with the gas tank above the engine. I will probably keep the engine but what other parts are you needing. Let me know and maybe I can help out. Mike

Mike,
Thanks, mine is the one with the gas tank filler in the back. I need some front wheel bearing covers, top spindle covers maybe and a gear shift knob. This is if you'd want to part with them.
Thanks,
David

I would probably contact a JD dealer and ask. They can look it up for you.
