Only thing I have heard is that the mechanic listened to it and the last time he heard sometjhing like this it was $800.00 to fix it. I agreed to pay $75.00 for an estimate. The sugar cane is now being harvested and I won't see any action from them for several months. A complete transaxle is $420, but I need to find out if the pump is good. Hope to go get the mower from the dealer this weekend, find a shop manual and styrike out into transmission land. : : Loud grinding noise when the transmission is engaged, and no movement.
