I have an Agway 688 that has a very good body and sound engine. My problem is the rear drive belt slips off the idler pulley. I have replaced the old belt (that did it when I bought the mower used)and reinstalled as instructed in the mower manual. When I tend to go up even a slight incline, the belt jumps off. The front drive belt and related belts for the blades all work fine. Any ideas on how to get this belt to behave? Thanks.

Mike,I'm not familiar with that brand,I'm more Murray,Craftsman ETC.But useally when ever a belt wont stay on these brands it's stretched,
Or the idler pulley spring hasn't got enough tention on itor totally gone.Or a belt guide some where come off or not adjusted right. You said in your post that you had the manual, look and see if there's a belt guide missing around the idler pulley.
