Do a basic tune-up on it first But the most important thing of all is change oil ""REGULARLY"" use sae 30 wt oil in the summer and you'll get a lot of use out of it

HAVE FUN! BE CAREFUL Shannon

Change the air filter and make a bracket to bolt on a Cone type like a K&N. Then take off your muffler and screw in a piece of galvanized plumbing pipe about 9-12" long. Make sure the carb throttle butterfly is opening perfectly flat inside the carb so you have wide open throttle. This is a basic hop up for a Briggs. You have to start taking it apart after that.
