I have a Cub cadet that has a Kohler Magnum 17HP in it. The fuel pump will not pump. I have had it apart and cleaned it but no luck. Is it possible to replace the pump with an electric pump? If so, how would I know what pressure to buy? Also, is it possible to still buy a new pump for this motor?

you cannot normally rebuild plastic Kohler pumps. You can replace it, it is about $45.00. If yopu go to NAPA, you can get a low pressure electric pump for about 35-45 dollars, not really sure of price, been a while since I did that.

Sure, you can replace it with an electric pump, if you'd like. Lower pressure pumps, such as those sold for imported cars are a good choice.

J. C. Whitney has the lower pressure import car pumps, for one source.

John Deere electric pump part #AH107362 is used with small engines. About $63.00 at you nearby Deere dealer.

Don't know about electric replacement but you can buy a new pump or a rebuild kit for yours. Any engine shop can get you one.
