Tried this on the ATRP forum and got no answer. Who built the Massey Ferguson garden tractor? Thanks in advance, Jack

I have one of these MF mowers, mine is a 7. Real nice mower with a blade. Seems to be built good. I listed mine for sale on the internet just this weekend. Hate to part with it but it would be better to have someone take to shows. Just my two cents.

I don't agree with you on that one Leland. I have both an MF10 and MF12 and they are great little tractors. Very durable and easy to service. There are also a lot of different attachments that were made for them, but some of these are pretty hard to find today I would have loved to find a whole pile of these AMF made machines for $10.00. I think someone got a steal that day.

pat I just know what i saw the tractors they had piles of them in back, they may have been a good tractor ,but the motors were blown in 85% of them they tried to cut corners . masseys were popular in my area until then everybody had one,but the tecumsch motor just would not hold up so people quit buying them . about 3 yrs later massey closed store wish you could been there bargains galore.

I have to agree , The Tecumsch motors were junk but the tractor was one of the best built chassis on the market[other then the motor].This tractor is a very collectable item and wish I had fifty of them. I have a few as we speak and as far as the engine goes ,only one is good ,but the new tecumsch is much better engine and most parts are very simular and will interchange.show blower and garden tiller had the same 7hp motor.
Happy restoring.

Simplicity just builds the newer ones. Before that it was Snapper (the 1450, 1650, etc.), and the old MF10, 12, etc. from the late 60's and early 70's were build by AMF.
