Check/clean carb main jet area. sounds about like what I had couple years back with Tecumseh engine that had sat awhile. Start/idled, died at opening throttle. Cleaned carb a bit, squirted cleaner in jets and vent openings, blew copressed air, ran healthy 1/2 to full throttle. RN

How long since you changed plug?

Mac,
Just changed it today, took it back out and checked gap, put back in. This started before I changed the plug, that's why I changed it.
