I have run across a small jeep like vehicle that articulates in the middle. It looks to be about eight feet long and 4 feet wide. It has a 2 cylinder Wisconsin engine and 15" wheels. It has decals that say "Bearcat" on them and it also looks like a decal that says "Ferguson Rescarch Inc. If anyone has any info about this please let me know.
thanks, Steve

I believe the Ferguson decal is going to be a dead end as FRI is a research organization and was prolly only the owner of the vehicle at one time.Is this an "old" vehicle or fairly modern one?In the early 70s before 3/4wheeler ATVs there were literally dozens of companies trying to corner the "all terrain" market including golf cart mfgs, lawn&garden mfgs, snowmobile mfgs, cycle mfgs etc, besides a bunch of specialty vehicle companys such as Cushman,Pug,Coot, Terra,Rupp,Bombardier,Smithco,Heald and others.
To further confuse the issue, besides selling these vehicles under their own name, some were wholesaled and sold under other names by the buyers much like MTD,Murry,AMF garden tractors were/are.As these many companies consolidated thru success/failure designs/patents were purchased by the survivors and the better ideas used. Many of these companies were only"local or regional" and never gained national recognition.Carefully look for a Mfgs Data Tag on the main running gear/frame.Pictures could be very helpful in determining the pedigree of the machine also.Suggest you check web for info on Pug ATV,Coot ATV,Quadtractor as these somwhat fit your description.
