I'm having problems trying to figuar out where to put the wire lead from the stator as to hook up to charge the battery? Plus the diode is blown .. do i take that lead an put it to the + post on the battery or does it some how go to the diode first.?Tractor was given to me with the wires all miss placed an about even the saffety features all by passed. What does the diode do for this tractor?I have most of the wires back in order but just not the red one comming from the stator. Can anybody give me advise on this please? It has the electric clutch on it also.Does anyboby know where i could get a wire diagram too look at an see where all wires go?Any help would be helpful. I'd give the model an serial number but they have been dammaged . Thank you for your time. It has the 16 hp vertical shaft from briggs

Hey Bluefish Aaron Bohn - Is that you? in reply to Aaron Bohn ; Wis, 09-06-2004 19:03:40
Folks, please pardon the non-tractor related post...

I'm trying to locate Aaron A. Bohn from Wisconsin, whom I served with in USS BLUEFISH SSN-675 in the late 80s and early 90s. I know there can't be too many Aaron Bohns in Wisconsin, so...A.B., is that you, Brother?! If it is, shoot me an e-mail at polecatmess@aol.com . I'd love to get back in touch!

Your Old Pal and Shipmate, Chad Teasley

Aaron,
A diode is a one way valve for electric current. It can go one way but not the other. In this instance you want the current going from the stator to the battery +. It will keep the battery + voltage from going to your stator and frying it. David

Try the JD dealer and/or look on ebay for a manual. I have a 111 which is the same tractor accept it has an 11hp engine. But I"m not good with wiring stuff so this is as much as I can help.
