How can I tell the difference from a 102 or 122 besides the seats the serial # is194912

Since engine is correct date code I'd assume you have a 102.

The numbers you posted are the Kohler Spec Number and Kohler Serial Number. From those numbers, you have a K241 10 HP Motor that was built in 1967.

The only difference between the 102 & 122 was HP.

The first two digits indicate horsepower. The 102 is a 10 HP Kohler K241 the 122 is a 12 HP Kohler K301. IF the engine is original. A lot of cadets were upgraded if their engine was replaced, since they were a direct swap. After that, I'm not sure how you would destinguish it without hood decals, the S/N were mixed, unless someone has a s/n record.

a pretty good indicater is the oil pan , the 10 has a flat pan and the 12 has a pan that has a hump in the bottom for stroke clearence. its visible behind the front axle,

Thats the problem there is no number decals . What will the engine #s tell you ? C159568 and 46329D will these tell the HP ?
