Adding a pulse pump to a 14.5 OHV Briggs

Where would I hook up the crankcase pulse line to a 14.5 Briggs OHV engine (model 267707) for a Briggs part # 808656 Mikuni pulse fuel pump? This is on a Craftsman mower in which the fuel tank is under the seat and if you are not cutting grass down hill all the time, it cuts off. The crankcase breather cover(where the valve springs would be in a non-OHV engine) has a tube that goes to the air breather. I could not find another plug in the crankcase to replace with a barb. Could I just tap a hole in this cover and go their or just tee into this existing line. Thanks for any and all help.

I would just use a low pressure 12 Volt electric pump.

For the pulse pump to work efficiently, normally they're connected to the crankcase, to get the full pulse effect. I suppose, since you just need your's for a bit of a boost to the fuel, it may work, if you could thread a separate nipple into the valve cover, but I doubt it would work tee'd into the crankcase vent line to the air cleaner.

If is the same engine that I think it is, I just put one on. On the carb side, (i think) there should be the control braket assembly that is bolted to the side of the block to hold the throttle cable mechanism. at the back of the bracket, and at the top, there should be a small (1/4 28 pipe) allen plug. This is put in from the factory to block a hole made just for a fuel pump. When installing the suction line, be sure to mount the fuel pump higher than the vacuum hole for any oil that gets in the line to drain back out. Any ? email me.

I couldn"t find the plug, so I just put a t into the line that comes from the cover where the valve springs would be in a non ohv engine and thusfar is seems to work. Not the prettiest setup, but so far it works. Thanks all for the help and advice.
