I'm can't afford a big project so I decided to take the Lowes 12hp tractor I got for free and turn it into a row crop front end. I ended up cutting the thing in half and building a new front end frame. All is going well I was just wondering if anyone else has turned a garden tractor into a narrow front before and would like to share ideas and results.

Adam, I don't have a row cropper but I made two different things from Cub Cadets. One was a Gator with two drive axels and a 4WD Cub Cadet with articlating (spl?) steering, motor in rear. If interested I could send you some pictures. I live in Port Huron Mi.

Warren, I would like to see what you"ve done. I have the tractor in half right now, but this weekend I"m hoping to get the time to have the front end roughed in. I can send you some pics as soon as i get them if you want. I"ll probaly post them as soon as it starts to look like something. I appreciate your reply. I live in middletown, PA (about 5 miles from Three Mile Island...maybe that explains why I"m doing this ha ha)
