Just bought a new house, and it came with a Ford 2N and a 18 HP Montgomery Wards riding mower. Got the Ford pretty well covered, but the smaller unit is another story.

Since Monkey Wards is kaputt, I'm wondering where to get parts. Under the seat is a label:

---LOT----- ---MFG DATE
TM033554A----- -C225D

----S/N
41-027-1777

Anybody know who actually built this (or currently supports it)? MTD, I'm guessing, but not sure. Also, the date code might as well be Latin, for all I can tell. Can anyone tell when it was built?

Anyhow, it seems to work pretty well, but needs some basic tuneup, adjustment, etc to make it a nice tractor again, but just don't know where to go if/when I need parts.

Thanks in advance.

Mfg/ date

Can anyone tell me something about it, like what year and all that stuff?
Thanks

1985 sounds good, the engine info says it was made in Sept 1984, so it all fits.

Thanks for the quick response.
