5 hp engine repair

I HAVE A BRIGGS AND STATION 5 HP ROTO-TILLER. I have to pull it about 100 times to start it. I ALSO HAVE TO POUR GAS IN THE CARBURETOR. I cleaned the gas tank and carb. out. points ok. plug ok. when it starts, it runs good. what might be the problem please.

Check the gasket/mating surface where the carb. mounts onto the intake. Sounds like maybe the gasket could be at fault making it hard to start but when it's running the vacuum is great enough to overcome the leak.

on the side of the carb you will find a side cover that uses torq sockets under there is a combination fuel pump and valve all parts of 1 gasket pick up a new gasket and put it in. Should fix the problem. Worked for me
