Ok when my 110 (8hp) is at an idle it wants to die but when you move it off of idle it revs up to almost full throttle. I know the guy had the carb off before I got it. When it's under a load the throttle works like it should. Any suggestions? Thanks.

OK I reset the gov. like you guys said and I tuned the carb a little. It worked. Now it runs fine at an idle and when you mow. Couldn't ask for better. But when you shut the PTO off and idle it back down it only idles down a little. The gov. and throttle on the carb are at idle position. The gov. lever is tight and doesn't move on the gov shaft. Any thoughts? When you start to move it idles back down where it should be and everything is fine until you stop the load. Thanks alot for your guys help.

Check spring on throttle control.

you may want to reset the governor, then readjust the high and low speed screws.lucas
