B&S dealer. Last year on this board their were several people looking for parts and the explaintion was the part were not beening built because this engine family had high emisions and the goverment wanted to limit their use.

This is an opposed 2cyl. flathead engine Right? If so the EPA and emision reg caused B&S to stop building parts. Last year it was impossible to find rings. I think you are looking at a repower or a new mower.

You can get the parts at a reasonable price though the aftermarket parts companies. New regs. have nothing to do with parts availablity - They just want you to buy a new engine ( or better yet a new tractor). EPA regs. only apply to new engines built, not parts !
