A Silly Question for those in the Know

I have a JD F935 and desperatley need to sharpen the blades. While I could use a four inch angle grinder to get the job done, I would rather remove the blades and sharpen them on my bench grinder. The question is, are the nuts left handed or right handed? Any special tricks to removing them? Would you use locktight when reinstalling?

Thanks,

Dug

In my experience, if the deck discharge is on the right side, the threads are right hand. And if the deck discharge is on the left side, then the threads are left hand.

you didnt say what mower you have but most all are right hand.had a yanmar in with lefties once.i use an air impact wrench ,but a socket and wratchet will get em off if not to tight.if you got the deck off and cant get the blades off, take it to a mower shop and see if they can zip them off with air wrench.... no lock tight is needed, but some anti-seize may make the job easier next time... lucas
