I bought a 25hp 50" deck Craftsman garden tractor a year or so ago. I'm looking to get a bagger attachment for it but Sears says they don't have one. Has any one ever converted the 48" or 54" baggers to fit the 50" deck. I don't see why it wouldn't fit on the back of the tractor maybe with some slight mods. I'm more concerned with the chute end coming out of the deck. Anybody have any suggection.

You wouldn't be interested in trading that 25HP 50" GT for a 22HP 46" GT would you? A bagger is available for the 46" although I don't have one.

The bagger will fit the tractor no problem. The only issues are mating the chute to the deck and finding blades with enough lift to send grass up the chute. Sears can sell you a tow-behind sweeper to collect the clippings. The 50" decks were never designed to bag. You might be able to find some gator mulching blades from agri-supply that will muclh pretty good.
