got a 582 with a 16 hp B/S. problem is I keep getting staem (blow by) through the valve breather hoses into the carb. already put new rings, valve breathers, and a new rubber grommet on the oil dipstick in the block. and help

did you bore it oversize or just rering it? did you hone the bore to a recomened finish? a common mistake is reringing. your bore wears. it tappers & goes out of round. a new round ring won't seal in a out of round bore. they will also wear out fast if theres alot of tapper. not honing the bore to a proper finish will also keep rings from seating. to smooth they won't seat & to course they will wear fast and lastly washing out the engine decent after honing. that hone dust is very hard on engine parts
