I purchased an old Wizard rototiller and trashed the lower unit when all the grease leaked out. I am looking for replacement parts. The tiller was sold by Western Auto in the 70's. The model number is GIS2020A37 serial #3774018. Does anyone know who manufactured the Wizard brand or where I might find parts and a manual ?

Hi All,
All wizard models starting with GIS
are made by Gilson Brothers. Gilson
was bought out by Toro several years ago.
Any toro dealer should be able to find parts for you.
For other wizard tiller models, I have a guide as to who made them at

Your Tiller was manufactured by Gilson for Western Auto and was made in 1973. Some parts are available through Sears Commercial Parts Sales at 1 800 225 2864. If you have an Owners Manual and/or Parts Manual I need one badly. Please Respond pmwoot@bellsouth.net

Western Auto Wizard Rototiller, Model #135202, Type 011901, Code 9401042E

Am in need of carbureutor kit and need to know if the "sponge" lining in the gas tank is necessary. Have recently acquired a "tiller" that has set up for 8-9 years.

Is it worth repairing?

I just bought an old Wizard 5 HP Roto tiller. It started when I bought it but now does not. I was searching the web and came across theses postings. Does anyone still have a copy of the manual? I will be glad to pay all costs.....

I have the original owner's manual for a Western Auto "Wizard 5 H.P. Rotary Tiller", model no. GIS2122A78.

If you still need a copy, post a mailing address and I will make one and send it.

I need parts (cables) for my tiller. Any suggestions on sources?

I have the same model tiller (GIS2122A78) as you and I too need cables. Toro's 800 number couldn't tell me and Lawn Boy dealers don't know either. I'm running out of options. I do hope you found some and can let me know where.

I also have an ancient wizard. My research says that wizard was purchased by Lawn Boy and Lawn Boy just recently by Toro. Knowing this has allowed me to find parts
