I have been noticing alot of tractor stuff especially Cadet stuff going for high prices on Ebay. The only thing I can assume is cause the tractors are so old sometimes they don't even bother to check and see if parts are still available. Sad thing is especially with John Deere & Cub Cadet there is allot of things you can still get for the tractors. John Deere you can even get the part numbers on the internet and tell if they are still available or not. This also makes the ordering process allot easier when you call the dealer.

Some folks just have gotten used to having their lives delivered to them.

And let's face it, there are more than a few Deere dealers who don't want to be bothered with old stuff. I drive an extra 20 miles to go to a dealer who does. And they don't get frustrated when they have to look something up on the computer, I'm not expected to know every part #. You don't know what motivates them but I can tell poor customer service effects my buying.
