Process of elimination, my friend. First thing to do, get a can of carb cleaner, carry it with you, when it dies, take off off air filter, shoot a little in the intake, try to start, if it starts, you have a fuel delivery problem. If it fails to start, you could have a coil going bad. Normally this is the way a coil acts. Did you also replace points when you replaced condensor? could have points acting up also. check it out first, coils are in the neighborhood of $100.00

Hi dwsia. This could be a fuel problem or spark problem. Run it untill it quits and check for spark. If no spark is found than your coil is getting affected by heat/ breaking down, and will need to be replaced. If spark is found, than the fuel pump might be acting up or the tractor is vapor locking. Look at the vent in the fuel cap and check the fuel line. Make sure that it isn't resticted. Good Luck, tractornutjd.

I have a JD316 that did the same. Mine ended up being the electronic egnition module.
