I am looking for info (or website) on information of older B&S engines before they used code numbers. There used to be a website that had most if not all the older B&S engine models and serial numbers along with the month and year those engines were built. That website appears to have been discontinued. Specificly, I am looking for info on the models 19 and 23, but I would also be interested in any info covering models old enough to have serial numbers instead of code numbers. One final question? Did the serial number of B&S engines reflect in any way the year made like the code number does today? If so, I guess that would solve my question. Can anyone help me? Thanks, Steve

You can get IPLs (illustrated parts list) and operating manuals from the B/S site for older engines. Some are sent thru the mail and others thru the internet for downloads. Try Link This should bring you to a page to ask what you want at the customer service place. Hope this helps.

Thanks a ton! That website did the trick. My model 23D was built in April of 1964. Thanks again, Steve
