Where can I sell an older lawn tractor?

So the Snapper is pretty much dead. It'd cost more to fix the B&S than to get another one so off she goes to where ever.

It's a mid 80's Snapper LT16 with a deck and blower. Any sites or ideas where I can post what's left for sale? I'm sure someone might need some stuff.

try smallenginewarehouse.com for engine or parts.
They are in Indiana

since the engine is ruined, I'd sell it for scrap, especially if the attachments are not in very good shape. Otherwise, a consignment auction is a good way to get rid of stuff, but only if they still run. You might also stick an ad in your local paper. Maybe Ebay, but I have no experiece doing that.

EBAY Someone out there is looking for just the animal. You may do better listing attachments & tractor separately though.

Man oh man! Sure hope that thing does not have to die. I have an old LT 12 and they have to rank up there as one of the best lawn tractors ever built, all makes and models considered. guess an engine failure could be the end though.

Yeah, I either had a catastrophic oil leak or it burned all the oil in it up over about 4 uses. I checked it every couple of times I used it and it was always fine. Get on it to mow the yard in August and after 5 minutes it dies. Broken rod. Unfortunately they don't sell short blocks for these anymore and we couldn't locate a used one. All the parts would have to be purchased and installed on this engine, and the block was so-so.

I really liked the tractor, very simple and easy to use. However for the amount they're saying to repair and rebuild the engine I can get a newer, and larger, garden tractor that will better suit our needs.
