Well, I got home and hooked up the aerator, filled it with water and it pulled it just fine, only spun once in a little hilly spot. But, I found out that my steering is not the best on this little beast. Turns about a good 1/4 to 1/2 turn before the wheels start to turn. so what should I be looking for to fix this? Is there a steering box with an adjustment to it or just sloppy linkage? I ran it til dark even tho the steering was dicey, just having some fun.

Has an adjustable sterring box like a car, if theat does not fix, you can take out and rebuilt, the bearings are pretty pricey, but they can still be got at CC.

Can I adjust without taking it off the tractor? I am thinking so, but since I am at work and it is at home, I can't do a quick look at it. Can I get replacement ends for the linkages? They look similar to the ones that Northern sells for gocarts.

Yes it can be adjusted on the tractor, you loosen the jam nut and turn the screw in. If this does not help, you will need to take it out and replace the bearings on the main shaft. The tie rod ends are quite a bit heavier than the cheapies Northern sells.

The steering gearbox adjust & rebuild is one of the FAQ's at "ihcubcadet.com" They also list sources for any and all parts you'll ever need.
