simplicity mower

my 6010 mower will not turn over with the igtion switch but will start when i jump across the selonid, replaced selonid, did not fix problem. if i jump start it from a running car engine it will start with the key. there are two "relays" under the seat that is tied into the wiring harnes. what do they do? can some one send me scematic, or pictural of the wiring for this machine? also i can not see any type of saftey switches on the tractor. .

If I understand correctly, you are saying if you hook up a jumper cable to battery, it will start with the key? If that is what you are doing, you probably have a bad battery or bad connections.

All tractors/mowers since 70 or so(some earlier) have one or more safety switches,Clutch/brake pedal,transmission neutral,seat switch,PTO.Any one of these could cause the problem your're having if defective,Most likely would be clutch or neutral switch.Try www.simpletractors.com for more info/diagrams.Lots is available for free,but if you have to join to get whats needed,it's well worth the $10yr to most Simp/AC owners.
