I've seen two 444 demostrators. One had a black hood and fenders with gold decals and another one had the standard tan/red with and large black decal on the hood(covered the entire top of the hood)that said "demostrator" and black stripes on the fenders with "demo" on the back.

I thought about painting my 220 like one because they are soo neat looking.

Steve,
Never heard of a Demonstrator model. What is it?
My 446 has black decals (on orange paint) but I don't think it is a "Demonstrator".
thanxjc

In about 1970 when case introduced their 70 series big tractors they took some of them and had black decals put on them, said demonstrator right on the sides. These were models dealers could take to farms and let farmer try them out, hence the name "demonstrator" now when I seen the ad for the garden tractor demonstrator or black knight as some call it..he said it was a 108 or 118 and had special black decals on it and they say demonstrator right on them...last month at a small tractor show in Cassopolis Mi seen a 444 and it had the demonstrator decals on it. He wasn't selling as he only bought it a week or so before and stole it for $300.00...yes I offered him a bunch more than that just for the fact it was the only one I have ever seen...if anyone has more info, I would like to hear from them. was told that any case dealer could have gotten a garden tractor Demonstrator if they wanted to use like the big tractors...any truth to that?
