Trying to plan a head. I have a Linamar LX990 on my bandmill. I picked it up as a replacement for the orignal Onan 24hp. The Linamar owners manual maintenance schedule has a service item " Adjust Engine Valve Clearance" at 450 hours -- must be performed by qualified mechanic.

Anyone know of the specs for this? Linamar/Onan appears to of fallen off the planet. The dealer I picked up the engine from is gone and the www.linamarengines.com site is gone as well. Anyone doing this themselves? At 50 hours it was done by the dealer - 1/2 hour of labor.

Thanks for any info.
Ray

Ray,
You seem to be right, I believe that Linamar no longer makes engines. There engine plant and head office is located here where I live in Ontario. They are a very large family owned corporation with something like 30 plants in this city alone.
If you are stuck, give this number a call, 519-824-1664.
